What is Forgotten Sci-Fi?
An anthology of Science Fiction short stories, reaching from the Victorian Era, all the way through the Golden Age of Science Fiction. These stories are presented in their original form, unadapted for the drama field, containing fully immersive soundscapes, effects, and original music. The original structure and turns of phrase are retained, telling the story as the author intended. The number of characters varies with each story, as does the extent of the narrator’s voice.
The discerning listener of modern science fiction audio drama who wants to discover where it all began, even before radio. The passage of time has not diminished the power of these stories. They simply desire a new audience.

All characters, music, soundscapes, and much of the Foley are performed by Craig Patterson. He also directed each episode, and has been in charge of all editing, production and mixing. Craig is an award-winning composer, a Top Ten producer, and has experience narrating over thirty audiobooks for ACX. He has been an audio engineer since 1974. His record label, PME, put out over seventy albums for dozens of artists, in support of which, Craig has directed forty music videos. Fans of his work will also note that he is an award-winning photographer, and author of eight books on technology, music, and photography.
Why?
In 2019, on one of Craig’s trips to Iceland to photograph the car museums around the island nation, he took along a thumb drive filled with episodes of old time radio shows Dimension X, and X Minus One. He had been shown the magic of radio while growing up, by his father, Dale. Driving alone through the Icelandic wilderness, listening to stories of space travel and time machines, was a magical, life-altering experience. Once back from the trip, he immediately began to map out a way to bring long-forgotten stories back to modern listeners.
